Another CROCK-TOBER recipe to make you a CROCK STAR!

Root Beer Roast
I'm always looking for an easy and different way to make a roast in the crockpot. So instead of scouring the internet for hours and hours, I made one up. And it is getting RAVE reviews! My son's friend literally ate nearly HALF of the roast by himself. I love it when I already have all the ingredients in the house, too!
recipe courtesy of Brook
- Ingredients:
- 20oz unsweetened applesauce
1 cup steak sauce
1 can root beer
4 pound roast (I think it was shoulder or rib?)
- Directions:
- (I did not brown the roast because I was running out of time, but if you usually do this, I'm sure it would only make it better.)
Put applesauce, root beer and steak sauce in crockpot. Stir to mix. Add roast and flip to coat. Cook on low 7 hours or on the high side of medium for 4 hours. If I had been home, I would've added those baby carrots the last 2 hours. They would be good!
Everything in the Crock Pot...

This is what I found when I got home from the meeting. Um. There were only two teenagers at my house.
