We're excited to be here at Star 105.7. If we're new to you, thanks for giving us a chance to wake you up. If you're new to Star 105.7, welcome! We promise to deliver the show you've grown to love with fun and encouragement. We consider this a HUGE 'salt and light' opportunity.
For those of you that are just trying us out, feel free to drop an email to us or give us a call at 458-1057. Our show is designed for your whole family to enjoy--you'll never hear anything that you'll have to "explain" to your kids...its clean, wholesome fun...with the information you need...and the music you LOVE from Star 105.7!
One of the ways we do this, is by encouraging you to "Think Outside Yourself"...TOY. Have you ever considered paying for the person behind you in line at the drive-thru? We started this many years ago in West Michigan after a call from a woman named Lisa told us how one of our listeners made her day by doing it. We decided to set up special days throughout the year when all of West Michigan did this on the same day. What a HUGE impact! If you've never tried it, give it a shot! You can make someone's day! There are many more ways you can TOY to encourage others. Can you imagine how West Michigan could change if we all did that more?

Here's a pretty cool devotion that was written about our transition to STAR 105.7.

Brook's tree got a bit of an upgrade because her parents got a new tree!
(don't you just LOVE hand-me-downs?)
So she handed down her tree from last year to her son and his new bride! HAHA!
Did you have an experience like this one? Sometimes, things aren't so JOLLY!

Feel free to share YOUR name with us below!
We received this email the day we talked about your ELF NAME. It is one of the BEST emails we've ever gotten!
THANK YOU for this morning! I was dropping my son at Hudsonville high school this morning. Getting him to talk (especially in the morning) to his mom in the car is like pulling teeth. Usually he's on his phone oblivious to who his chauffeur is. When your elf name segment came on we were laughing so hard! He quickly looked up the chart and was reading the names for our family. (Dad's was the best!!!!) Anyway, I'm always looking for those fleeting moments to connect with my kids and you gave me one this morning. Best start to my day...laughing with my son. Thanks! Have a great one nipper and sugarplum...
Here's the chart that brought them together...
Brook is: Nipper Superplum
Tommy is: Sugarplum Pointy-Toes
1 bar German Chocolate cooking chocolate
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
48 oz almond bark (24 oz almond bark and 24 oz milk chocolate bark)
1 16 oz dry roasted unsalted peanuts
1 16 oz dry roasted salted peanuts
Place all ingredients in crockpot. Cook on low for 1.5 hours or warm for 3 hours. DO NOT TOUCH. Turn crockpot off and let it sit for 20 minutes. Cover counter top or table with waxed or parchment paper. Stir mixture completely. Drop by spoonfuls onto paper or into small paper muffin cups. Let harden and store in airtight container. Give away and save some or your family to enjoy. (they also freeze!)
Ever wonder what to do with the space above your cupboards? How about decorating! This is what Tommy puts up for the winter.
Tommy is making pancakes for everyone here today! Isn't that SO WONDERFUL?!
