When you hear someone say "every day is new beginning", it's easy to dismiss the thought and continue with everything that has to be done in your very busy life. Stacy from Kentwood didn't do that. She started running 5k races when she learned she was a border line diabetic and weighed 330lbs with a waist line of 50inches wearing a shirt size 3X.
She started working out about 30 minutes a day for about 4 months and then bumped up her workout to 1 hour a day. She started the Weight Watchers program and started eating right. Her first 5K, was a challenge and she finished in 37 minutes. She since then has ran about 15 plus 5K races, 2 10K races and the St. Jude 25K in Memphis TN. She now is a lean and fit 198lbs, keeping it off by working out and eating right. She is proud to say she wears a size 34in in pants and a size M or L in shirts. She already ran the 10K Fith Third Turkey Trot in Detroit and will be running the Fifth Third River Bank Run 25K.
It all starts with a single step, and it is never to late to begin. Join me on May 10th for the Fifth Third River Bank Run 5K Community Walk.
George Takei strike again. That guy finds some interesting things on the web. Like this video, from a TED talk, that shows Capuchins demanding an equal high value treat for performing the same task.
