“Frozen”, Flick’s Family Film Festival, Celebration! Cinema
Friday, April 4 – Thursday, April 10
Free movie for kids under 12 years old. Adults are $4. Show times will be available on Tuesday evenings the week the movie starts.
Twilight Tour, John Ball Zoo
Friday, April 4, 7:30 – 9 p.m.
Bring a flashlight for a guided tour of the zoo as the sun goes down. Includes an animal encounter, hands-on activities for kids 5 and older, and a guided tour. Pre-registration required. $8 per person for members. $9 per person for non-members.
Monster X Tour, Kellogg Arena, Battle Creek
Friday, April 4 & Saturday, April 5
Monster truck show including lawnmower racing and quad racing. Tickets start at $20 for adults, $8 for kids 3-12 and children two and under are free.
Bunny Train, Coopersville & Marne Railway
Saturday, April 4 & Sunday, April 5
A train ride for kids with the Easter Bunny and other characters as they perform in each passenger coach. Each kid gets a surprise at the end of the ride. Adults are $15.50, seniors are $14.50, kids 2-12 are $13.50 and kids under 2 are free. See website for ticket information.
Spring Fling, Critter Barn, Zeeland
Saturday, April 4 & Sunday, April 5, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Hands-on fun throughout spring break. Bottle feed a goat kid at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. and milk a dairy goat at 6 p.m. Feed animals, hold baby chicks and ducklings, visit farm animals, and plant seeds in the garden. Free admission. Donations appreciated.
Kids Workshop, Home Depot
Saturday, April 5, 9 a.m. – noon
Kids can build a birdbath or birdfeeder. For children ages 5 – 12. Includes workshop apron, commemorative pin, certificate of achievement, and they get to take home their craft! Pre-registration online preferred.
Petting Zoo, Coopersville Farm Museum
Saturday, April 5, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Kids can pet small and baby farm animals! $4 per person. Members and children under 3 are free.
Color Hike, Gillette Sand Dune Visitor Center, Muskegon
Saturday, April 5, 10:30 a.m.
Use your senses on a fun, interactive hike that explores the colors of nature! Free.
Easter Egg Hunt & Scramble, Veterans Memorial Park, Kentwood
Saturday, April 5, 11 a.m.
Easter egg hunts for children 6 and under and a separate hunt for children 7 and up. Turn in your eggs to receive a treat bag and get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny! Free.
Fun Ship, Holland Community Aquatic Center
Saturday, April 5. Doors open at noon. Cruise activities 1 – 4 p.m.
Double trouble races, cannonball contest, tiny tots twist off, and new Alpine Challenge feature! $2 for pizza and $1 for pop from 2 – 4 p.m.
Zumba with Ali Brown, Grand Rapids Children’s Museum
Sunday, April 6, 1 p.m. & 3 p.m.
Join Ali Brown of Hearts in Motion Dance Studio for a Zumba session. Free with admission.
