Dutch Village Community Day Celebration, Nelis’ Dutch Village, Holland

Annual Community Day celebration. Food drive to benefit the Center for Women in Transition. $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $7 for children.
Garden Fest, Loutit Library, Grand Haven

Family gardening event where kids can learn hands-on about food and nutrition. Free, but donations are accepted. Proceeds go to Greater Ottawa United Way.
Community Bike Ride, Grand Rapids Public Library

Six and a half mile bike ride explores the parks and history of Grand Rapids. Departs from Main Library at 11 a.m. Come out early at 9 a.m. for a free bike tune-up. Helmets are required for the ride. Riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Participate in hands-on activities with recycled materials in honor of Earth Day. Free!

Find out about native frogs and toads and discover how their life cycles differ from each other. Learn to distinguish the calls of several species and take a hike in the vernal pond. Free!
