Finally, things are looking up for Shannen Doherty. Less than a year after discovering her breast cancer had spread, the actress is in remission.
Doherty took to Instagram to announce the happy news, but she didn't ignore the reality of the situation: her cancer can come back. "As every single one of my fellow cancer family knows, the next five years is crucial," Doherty writes. "Reoccurrences happen all the time. Many of you have shared that very story with me. So with a heart that is certainly lighter, I wait."
She ends her announcement on a positive note. Doherty says "I am blessed, I know that. But for now.... remission. I'm going to just breathe."
